Leona's Gallery is dedicated in loving memory of Erin Renee ‘Cissy’ Carter, my lifetime friend who passed away in May 2004 from Breast Cancer. All who knew her will verify that she had a passion for fashion and seduction. She was wild, bold, glamorous, gracious, pretty, cute & humble. We agreed that she was the ‘market tester’ for Leona's Gallery. In fact if she were around she’d be asking what’s up with the second fashion show? If you ever need a cheerleader or sponsor find someone like Erin. You will be blessed by it. I would share my creations and she would add the extra touch of crazy colors to the scheme. I could always count on her wanting something ‘sheer’. Why sheer? Well she believed that intimate wear was equally as pretty so why not show it? She loved dainty handkerchiefs, purses, hats, gloves and scarves. Her passion was for scarves & shoes. HIGH-HEELED SHOES. I still miss her so much everyday! Based on feedback from our 1st Fashion Show, I plan to keep Erin’s spirit alive through “SHOWS for a CAUSE”. Once again, proceeds will benefit the Howard County Breast Center/Erin Renee Carter Fund. What better way to honor the memory of a fashion diva, but to continue to spreading the awareness for Breast Cancer and most importantly help our local community simultaneously. The Howard Breast Center of Columbia, MD works diligently to provide hope and a ray of sunshine to the lives of many women struggling with the disease. I don’t want to say goodbye to more women! I PRAY good health to all my sisters in the battle.
If you
joined us for the Fashion Show in 2004, we thank you for your
patronage. We plan to do it again ... please don’t miss —the OCTOBER 2008 Fashion Show to be held in Columbia, Maryland. Hope we can count on your support - again. Thanks!
